About the mehendi invitation
The mehendi (or mehndi) is when the bride — and often every woman in the family — has henna applied, usually with music, food and the dholak. Many families make it the most colourful function of the week, so the cards lean into greens, pinks and florals.
Mehendi Garden sets henna-green script and maroon names in a garden arch, with lotus pools, decorated elephants and hanging lanterns.
What to include on the card
- “Mehendi” or “Mehendi Ceremony” as the heading
- The bride’s name, or both names for a joint mehendi
- Date and time — often afternoon into evening
- Venue
- A note on dress code or music, if there is one
