Delete your account
You can delete your account and your data at any time.
From the app (fastest)
- Open ShaadiCardWala and tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.
By email
If you can’t open the app, write to hello@shaadicardwala.com from the email address linked to your account, or include the phone number you sign in with. We confirm your identity and delete your account within 7 days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in details
- All your invitation cards and the names, dates, venues and text in them
- Photos and files you uploaded
- Share links to your cards (they stop working) and their view counts
- Your device registration for notifications
What is kept, and why
- Payment records (amount, date and Razorpay order and payment IDs) are kept for as long as Indian tax and payment regulations require, usually up to 8 years. They contain no card or bank details.
- Anonymous usage statistics — counts such as “a card was downloaded” — are kept after being disconnected from your account, so they can no longer be linked to you.
Guest accounts are deleted the same way. Deleting cannot be undone: a deleted card can’t be recovered.
